Line 1 Box 2 = Date meter previous read and meter reading

Line 1 Box 3= Date meter currently read and meter reading

Line 1 Box 4 = Usage in thousand gallons

Line 1 Box 5 = Left blank (will show charges from listings on Line 2)

Line 2 Box 1 = Charges for water, sewer, trash (garbage 1 or 2 indicated), and other charges (late, reconnect, etc.)

Line 2 Box 2 = Date bill is due

Line 2 Box 3 =  Amount due

Line 3  Box 2 = Your assigned account number

Line 3 Box 3 = Amount due if paid late

Line 4 Box 2 = Date bill generated

Line 4 Box 3 = Service type (Residential, Commercial, Non-Profit, etc.)

Line 5 Box 2 =  Your street address (or address for service)

Line 6 Box 1 = Date bill is due

Line 6 Box 2 = Amount due if paid late

Line 6 Box 3 = Return stub

Line 6 Box 4 = Your assigned account number

Line 6 Box 5 = Amount due

Line 7 Box 1 = Printed messages

How to Read Your City Utility Bill

Below is a sample of the bill you will receive with an explanation for each line and box to help you understand the bill better.  If you paid late fees prior to receiving your new bill, if you add the late fee to the prior balance due it will be reflected in your payment.
