Our school district is one of the best in the state with recognitions for our elementary school and the Rock Creek Junior/Senior High School.  The High School was recognized as a Blue Ribbon School and the elementary school has been recognized as being an excellent school for teaching above the standards set by the State of Kansas Education Department.


City Council:

  The Westmoreland City Council will meet on Thursday, February 9, 2017 at 7:00 PM at the Community Center, 201 Main Street.  This meeting is open to the public.

  An agenda may be obtained at the City Hall office during regular business hours or                      after  April 7, 2017 for the agenda.

Weclome to Vicki Taylor and her new business.  Vicki does taxidermy and also has a store front with antiques, collectables, and much more.  She is open Tuesday-Saturday, 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm.  You can find the Tin Can Station at the corner of Main and 3rd Street.  Stop by and see what she has to offer!

Cemetery committee meets the last Monday of every month (when needed) at 7:00 p.m.

Planning & Zoning board meets the 3rd Tuesday of every month (when needed) at 7:00 p.m.

Library committee meets the first Monday of every week at 7:00 p.m.


All committee meetings are held at the Westmoreland Community Center, 201 Main Street, unless otherwise notified.

The Pottawatomie/Wabaunsee Regional Library is open Mondays 10 AM to 1 PM, 1:30PM to 6 PM and Thursdays 3 PM to 7 PM.  Story time is on Mondays at 10:30 AM and 2 PM.   Check back for information on the summer reading program beginning in June for 8 weeks.
