  Interested in serving on a city committee?

Cemetery committee meets the last Monday of every month (when needed) at 7:00 p.m.

Planning & Zoning board meets the 3rd Tuesday of every month (when needed) at 7:00 p.m.

Library committee meets the first Monday of every week at 7:00 p.m.


All committee meetings are held at the Westmoreland Community Center, 201 Main Street, unless otherwise notified.

Our school district is one of the best in the state with recognitions for our elementary school and the Rock Creek Junior/Senior High School.  The High School was recognized as a Blue Ribbon School and the elementary school has been recognized as being an excellent school for teaching above the standards set by the State of Kansas Education Department.


City Council:

  The Westmoreland City Council will meet on Thursday, December 12, 2019 at 7:00 PM at the Community Center, 201 Main Street.  This meeting is open to the public.

  An agenda may be obtained at the City Hall office during regular business hours or                        after  December  6, 2019 for the agenda.



CITY HALL CLOSINGS

   City Hall will be closing at noon on Tuesday, December 24th and closed Wednesday, December 25th in observance of the Christmas Holiday.

   We will also be closing at noon on Tuesday, December 31st and closed Wednesday, January 1, 2020 in observance of the New Year!


   Trash pickup for both weeks will be collected on Thursday, December 26th and January 2nd.


FESTIVAL OF TREES

  The first Festival of Trees was held on Saturday, December 7, 2019 at the Westmoreland Elementary School.

  Six trees, twelve wreaths and four centerpieces were decorated and donated by various organizations/individuals.  The proceeds from the silent auction in the amount of $840.00 will be used to help fund new outdoor restrooms in city park.
